The paradigm of Smart City, initially linked to a strictly technological interpretation assumed, over time, more complex and complicated forms involving all aspects that contribute to improving the quality of urban life.

Currently, the large number of actors involved in the definition of the Smart City, led to the formation of national and international networks for the exchange of results and studies developed by public institutions and research organizations.
